LTO Selection:

16:35 Gowran Park Claimer 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KHAFAAQ has solid credentials for this claimer. The eight-year-old landed a gamble by a short head over an extended 1m2f in Cork last week. He was also a decent second over C&D on his penultimate start, and Cian Horgan takes 7lb off his back again. James McAuley is well represented with three runners and his Bringsty was a never-nearer fourth in the aforementioned race over C&D. Miss Vizeun won a Dundalk claimer in January and will appreciate this better ground.

NOTFORALONGTIME ran with credit when second in a claimer last time and he's on a potentially good mark, so he's marginally preferred to Khafaaq, who scored with something to spare at Cork recently. Bringsty is another one to consider.

From a stable that specialises in races of this type BRINGSTY has been running well enough in handicaps to merit selection

LTO Selection:

17:10 Gowran Park Stakes 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MASHIA landed a big-field maiden on debut at Naas and the form got a boost when the runner-up obliged at the same track on Sunday. Mashia is well thought of and holds an Irish 1,000 Guineas entry. Moon De Vega is an interesting recruit for Paddy Twomey. She kept some very good company in Britain for Ralph Beckett last season, including when eighth in the Oaks at Epsom. Aurifodina is match-fit, while Onameridance isn't out of it on her seasonal reappearance.

MASHIA made a good impression when scoring in a maiden at Naas recently and she's worth backing to maintain her unbeaten record. Moon de Vega is the main danger and Aurifodina could make an impact.

Once-raced winner MASHIA may prove too strong for Aurifodina who has solid handicap form to her name

LTO Selection:

17:40 Gowran Park Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A very difficult puzzle. Several winners have come out of the maiden that SKYQUAKE finished fourth in at Thurles towards the end of last season. Furthermore, she had a subsequent Listed winner behind her in fifth. Perfect Portrait earned her mark of 95 courtesy of a close fourth in a Group 3 at the end of last season. She was a beaten favourite over C&D at the start of the month, but is entitled to come on from her seasonal reappearance. Hey Whatever's fourth on debut at Naas has been boosted and she can go well over this longer trip. Letiza took second in Dundalk behind a horse who was then placed in a Group 3, and this is her turf debut. Paris Review, Doctor Nightingale and Phases Of Venus add more intrigue.

PERFECT PORTRAIT has the best form and should capitalise on a good opportunity. Letiza is the biggest danger but Skyquake is one of several others open to improvement.

With an official rating of 95, PERFECT PORTRAIT should have the winning of this. Perhaps she just needed the run on her seasonal debut

LTO Selection:

18:10 Gowran Park Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CUBAN DAWN was highly tried on debut in Listed company, but wasn't outclassed in fourth. He was then beaten by a neck in Cork, so has posted two solid efforts. Nation's Call has raced four times and has accrued a rating of 92. He hasn't been beaten far when placed at Navan and Cork, and is respected. Newcomer Caulaincourt is a full-brother to an eight-time winner, including at Group 2 level, so is of obvious interest. He is nicely berthed in stall one. At Long Last, Lygon Street and another debutant Shayzann could get involved.

CUBAN DAWN has the best form and looks open to more improvement, so he's preferred to Nation's Call, who is closely matched but doesn't have the same scope for progress. Caulaincourt is the pick of the newcomers.

Dermot Weld's 92-rated colt NATION'S CALL may have the measure of last week's Cork second Cuban Dawn

LTO Selection:

18:40 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EVERYLITTLESTEP has a shot at making the breakthrough. Generally, she runs this track well and was placed on three occasions here in May and June last year. Aurora Nova looks dangerous with Colin Keane booked for the first time. On her penultimate start in Dundalk, she kept on for fourth and was beaten less than two lengths. Gatsby Cap has been out of form, but has dropped to a very lowly mark and this is one of the two tracks he has won at. Wrist Art has a chance of prize money, but Stay Local's form is on slower ground.

STAY LOCAL shaped nicely at Naas last time and is still relatively unexposed, so she's worth siding with ahead of Everylittlestep, who also arrives in form. Well Suited is another one to consider.

Preference is for EVERYLITTLESTEP, who often runs well here

LTO Selection:

19:10 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SHONA MEA has won twice at this track and has good prospects. On her penultimate start, she ran well in second over C&D behind a horse who followed up on her next start. Simply Sideways was a comfortable winner over C&D and then didn't have a clear route, off 12lb higher, when keeping on for fourth at Killarney. She's a contender. Skontonovski showed a welcome return to form when a close third over an extended 1m in Killarney. He is clearly on an attractive mark. Leviosa showed more when runner-up over C&D at the start of the month.

SKONTONOVSKI went close at Killarney last week and could strike if in the same form here. Super Cub and Boomerang Bill are a couple of others to consider.

Skontonovski rates a big player but preference is for LEVIOSA, a recent strong finishing second to Simply Sideways over C&D

19:40 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RUMBLED AGAIN travelled notably well before finishing third over 7f at Cork last week and it is no surprise to see him on a quick turnaround. He sported blinkers for the first time on that occasion and they are retained. Finsceal Go Deo is drawn to go forward from stall one. She is a prominent racer who came in second over C&D just under a fortnight ago. Magnanimous Mehmus is in a consistent vein of form and ought to go well in first-time blinkers. Rio Largo was a decisive winner over C&D last month and now has to back it up off 11lb higher.

A competitive 3-y-o handicap that can go to MAGNANIMOUS MEHMUS who is in cracking form and deserves a first win. Rio Largo opened his account in good style tackling this trip last time and demands respect despite an 11 lb rise. Rumbled Again is also a big player.

After a very encouraging recent comeback run in a C&D fillies maiden, FINSCEAL GO DEO can make a winning handicap debut

20:10 Gowran Park Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BALLYBAUN STAR made up a lot of late ground to finish fourth over 1m5f at Navan. That performance can be marked up as it was on soft ground and his previous form over hurdles came on better ground. He has an each-way chance. Nostra Casa is the obvious starting point after overcoming a long absence to win on stable debut for Paul Flynn at Sligo. The runner-up has since won to frank the form. He clearly enjoyed that testing ground, but this ground will be very different. Douglas Dc is a solid yardstick over this trip. Make The Switch is another to consider.

NOSTRA CASA was well on top when making a successful return at Sligo and can go in again if building on that with Colin Keane up now. Douglas DC and Rock On Pedro are respected.

A revelation when scoring at Sligo, an 11lb rise may not prevent NOSTRA CASA from following up on this better ground

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
